The head of Saudi Standards and Quality committee D. Saad
Al Qasbi the Kingdom's keenness to achieve regional leadership in the field of
quality, making the saudi quality an added value for the merchant and the
consumer .. pointing to a decline in rates of the unmatching products in local
markets
Al
Qasbi in a detailed dialogue with the economy magazine in its latest issue for
the month of July that the Kingdom is moving towards regional leadership, through the enhancement
of consumer safety, and raising the level of satisfaction of the beneficiaries,
and consolidate trust the specifications issued by the Committee, as well as
the enhancement of quality in the Kingdom culture, enhancement the supervisory role of the Committee
and confirming the scientific point of
reference in the fields of standardization and quality, and enhancing technical
capacity, improving operational procedures, and investment in human resources,
and the development of the work environment to attract the Authority, also the improvement
of the administrative and financial method, and the development of financial
resources.
Al Qasbi pointed to a decline in
the imported products, rates of unmatching
with the saudi standard specifications
apparantly, and that as a result of coordination with the concerned regulatory
authorities, the most important of the Ministry of Trade and Investment and the
Customs Department to coordinate observing activities on goods imported and
locally manufactured and what is offered
in the market in a complementary methodology between these authorities , adding that
the Committee is currently working with
its partners to review procedures and ensure their effectiveness and developed
within a total program for the control
of goods.
Al Qasbi in a detailed dialogue with the
economy magazine of Asharqia Chamber said that the most important priority
for the Committee at the present time is
to spread the concepts of quality and excellence in various sectors, as we perform activities that aimto strengthen this orientation. Although
there is a remarkable progress, thank God about embracing and applying of theories
and strategies for quality, which is what we have observed clear during the
events of the fifth national conference of quality, which was held under the
auspices of king Salman in last Muharram
month, but we are still looking to more, we hope and look forward for
quality as a way of life and culture of
the people so that pulls on all measures and actions, which is the habit of people of this country, Committee is currently working on the review of
the draft of the National Strategy for Quality in the seven axes with the related
authorities and in accordance with the vision of quality in the Kingdom in 2020
«that Saudi Arabia be with its products and services will be a worldwide
standard for quality and perfection».The
